Meet The Team
Alan has over 30 years experience in horticulture and has completed several qualifications at the Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh, he has Royal Horticultural Society qualifications in horticulture, Open University qualifications in engineering and design; tree surgery qualifications and has also completed an apprenticeship in heritage landscape construction. He recently attended a course in sustainable living roof construction.
Bonsai practitioner since he was six years old Gideon is a genuine plant nerd and fungi enthusiast. Currently studying for a Bsc in Horticulture with Plantsmanship at Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh. Gideon has been in post for two years and recently assisted Alan in producing a detailed plant key and map for a new client who inherited a garden of obscure botanical specimens.
Office manager and has been working as a gardener for over a decade. Qualifications in horticulture from the Royal Horticultural Society she has also studied ethnobotany at RBGE. In her spare time she grows vegetables and raises chickens. She also has an MSc in Education.
Part time worker and a full time Horticulture student studying at Scotland’s Rural College. Qualified through Lantra for arboricultural ground work and chainsaw operations. Erwan has also spent time living and working on a farm producing organic vegetables for locals markets, and has worked in a large plant nursery.
Trainee tree surgeon / ground worker. Mike has recently completed an M.A. in Environmental Science at Edinburgh University and is currently studying arboriculture. He is also a woodworker and technology expert.
Trainee horticulturalist / arborist and landscape construction worker. David is an expert carpenter and has spent the last six years building and maintaining boats for high end clients in Ibiza.
